Here are some ways you can take action to support Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (MBCN) in our mission to change the face of metastatic disease.

• THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS! Join the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network....there are no dues or fees.
  
  
  • Become a member.
  • As a member, you will have the opportunity to participate in our mission and be a proactive voice in the breast cancer community.  Read on to find out how you can do this.
• EMPOWER YOURSELF!  Speak with your local breast cancer organization or your hospital or oncologist to connect with other metastatic patients.  Then what? Read on....
• SUPPORT EACH OTHER!  Join a metastatic group or form a metastatic group. Meet weekly to share coping strategies.
• BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE! Get the best treatment possible.  Invite an oncologist from each local hospital to your meetings to discuss the latest treatments they are using.
• GET MORE ATTENTION! Request that your cancer center put on a program to present the latest research on metastatic disease. Don’t give up.... find the person to make this happen.... be the person to make this happen.
• BE MORE VISIBLE! Become a chapter and host a conference.

  • Make your presence known at major cancer conferences. We need publicity. We need grants. We need to make people aware that we exist and until there is a cure, we need better treatments. We need treatments to prolong life.
